Booking Terms and Conditions

The content of our website, brochure & information pack has been prepared in good faith. Therefore we cannot accept any responsibility for any minor or insignificant inaccuracy contained within our description or information.


To make a Booking

Prior to booking, please make sure that Number 8 is suitable for your requirements. If anyone in your party has a disability, please contact us just to confirm that we can cater for their needs.


Send your completed booking form with your £100 deposit, either electronically or by post. Please name all party members on the booking form, which is not transferable.  It constitutes a contract between your party and ourselves, Carole & Roy Squires, (the owners).  We reserve the right to cancel any booking to parties that are deemed unsuitable.


Confirming a Booking

After receiving your completed booking form and receipt of £100 deposit, we will send you confirmation of your holiday booking, either by email or post.

Your holiday is not confirmed until you have received written confirmation from us. We reserve the right to refuse any booking before we have issued this written confirmation. As soon as you receive it, check it carefully & report any errors to us immediately.

 


Balance Payment

The balance of your booking is payable 8 weeks prior to the start of your holiday. After we have received your payment we will send you a receipt and details of arrangements on arrival. Non payment of the final balance, when it becomes due, will mean your holiday is cancelled & your deposit will not be returned.

Booking less than 8 weeks before the start date of your holiday, will mean that you will be required to pay the full cost at the time of booking.


Cancellations

Please notify us immediately, in writing, or by email, if you wish to cancel your booking. This will only take effect when we have received your written confirmation. If you need to cancel a booking that you have already paid for in full, we will do all we can to re-let Number 8. If we are successful, we will refund your payment, for any period re-let, less an administration fee of £25.

If you cancel a booking for which you have only paid a deposit, we will do all we can to re-let Number 8. If we are successful, we will refund your deposit less an administration fee of £25.

If for any reason we, the owners, need to make any emergency changes to your holiday booking, we will refund any monies paid, to the person making the original booking.


Insurance

As a precautionary measure, we would recommend that you take out travel cancellation insurance to cover any eventuality.



General Holiday Terms & Conditions


Costs include

Electricity, heating and bed linen.


Arrival Departure & Keys

Number 8 is available from 3pm on day of arrival & must be vacated by 10am on day of departure.  Keys will be available either from a key safe located at Number 8, or by a ‘Meet & greet.’ We will contact you a few days before the start of your holiday.  

NB Lost keys will be charged at £20/set.


Occupancy

During your stay we, or our representatives, may require access to Number 8, at reasonable notice, except in an emergency. Occasionally, we may need access to the grounds of the bungalow to maintain the gardens & put the bins out weekly etc. We will endeavour to respect your privacy.

Please show consideration to the neighbours in the immediate area.

We hope you enjoy your stay at Number 8 & respect our bungalow. You are responsible for keeping the property, furniture, utensils, equipment, fixtures & fittings in/ or on the property in the same state of repair & condition as at the start of your holiday.  Please report any damage or breakages to Carole or Roy, preferably straight away. We reserve the right to charge for any damage/breakages incurred.

Please do not light any candles in the house for obvious reasons.


No Smoking

There is a strict no smoking policy in the bungalow (this includes e-cigarettes); a receptacle will be provided for outside use.


No Pets

Our apologies, but we are unable to accommodate pets.



By confirming this holiday booking you accept & agree to abide by the conditions laid out above, on behalf of yourself & all persons in your party.
